The MB1 and MB2 MICROBIO air samplers are the most economical samplers in the world for monitoring airborne micro-organisms or bioaerosols. These samplers collect airborne micro-organisms by drawing a stream of air at a constant flow rate of 100 litres/minute through a series of 1mm holes in a metal head. The air stream then impinges onto a sterile culture medium in a 55mm contact plate or 90mm petri dish. After exposure to the air stream for a fixed period the contact plate is removed and incubated. The number of colonies which develop are counted enabling a calculation to be made of the concentration of micro-organisms in the air (cfu/m3 - colony forming units per cubic metre) Bioaerosol samplers do not have to cost a fortune – we set out to build equipment at affordable prices – and equipment that works.

The MicroBio MB1 - the latest version original MB1 sampler. Our basic model - samples user selected volumes from 25 to 1500 litres. Uses contact plates or 90mm petri dishes. Supplied with the MicroBio PC Reporter  software

Now with stainless steel sampling head which can accomodate 90mm petri dishes - or 55mm contact plates. The user can choose either of these low cost readily available consumables

 

The MicroBio MB2

includes more features - LCD display shows sample volume in litres, time delay feature, preset volume memory, battery level etc.  Includes a padded carry case. Supplied with the MicroBio PC Reporter  software
